I'm a fashion blogger, a working gal, and a new wife. My HP 2-in-1 has allowed me to stay connected with my friends and family and tapped into the fashion world. It allows me to check my social media (both private and blog) as well as enjoy the things I love i.e. reading, listening to music, and cooking seamlessly. Welcome to an ordinary day in my life.

7:30am
My day doesn't start until I have my first cup of coffee and catch up on my Facebook and Twitter feeds.
8:10am
I'm out the door and heading off to work. My subway ride into Manhattan consist of listening to music while doing some reading. HP 2-in-1 is small and lightweight for me to carry in my bag which is good since NOOK has easily become my favorite reading app. It allows me to subscribe to my favorite magazines (ELLE, Marie Claire, NYLON...) and download a variety of books. Perfect for train rides to and from work.
12:30pm
Lunch break! While many of my co-workers go grab lunch I'm running around town to a showroom or to a meeting for Fashionista NY Girl. My 2-in-1 allows me to carry around my portfolio and show my work digitally. As well, as its an easy way to take down notes. It's also perfect to run out to a cafe during lunch to sit down to work on a blog post.
5:30pm
Back on the train to go home! Drowning out the masses and digging into a good read.
8:00pm
On most days it's never straight home and dinner. It's home to do a quick change for the gym. By the time I get home it's about 8pm and I'm starving. Bing Food and Drink is one of my favorite recipe apps. It allows you not to only look up recipes quickly but create collections of favorite recipes as well as create shopping list and meal plans! Makes weekly dinners at home easy to pull together.
10:00pm
After dinner, showering, and doing some blog work it's time to call it a night! But at least not before checkin the feeds one last time....

Foodie Friday: Truffle Popcorn
HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY! Today I bring you a grown-up take on popcorn that would make for the perfect snack while watching the fireworks tonight. Lets be real, truffle oil makes everything better so how could you go wrong with truffle popcorn. This will easily become your new favorite movie snack. Just don't get caught sneaking it into the theaters!
Recipe adapted from: Kailey's Kitchen
Ingredients
- 3 Tablespoons canola oil or Vegetable Oil
- 1/4 cup popcorn kernels (we used red popcorn kernels that someone bought us)
- 1 Tablespoon butter, melted
- 2 Tablespoons truffle oil (I used about 3 tablespoons, depending on the type of Truffle Oil you have you might need about the same or more)
- 2 Tablespoons finely grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 Tablespoons finely chopped parsley, for garnish
- Truffle salt to taste ** optional substitute Table Salt to taste **
Instructions
- Pour canola oil into the base of a 5" deep, 9" wide pot (or similar size)
- Pour popcorn kernels into the pot, making sure they are evenly distributed across the base
- Shake pot to ensure that kernels are coated in oil
- Turn a burner on to medium heat and place pot over burner
- Slide the pan back and forth over the burner constantly until a kernel finally pops (3-5 minutes)
- After the first kernel pops, cover pot with a lid and continue to slide the pan back and forth as kernels continue to pop
- Once popping slows, remove pan from heat
- Pour popcorn into a large bowl and drizzle melted butter and truffle oil over it
- Sprinkle parmesan, parsley, and truffle salt on popcorn, toss to evenly coat
- Serve immediately
We did a little test of this recipe over the weekend and it was a hit with my husband. We both agreed though that it could still use a little MORE truffle oil. When we make this later for our party we might add in an extra half tablespoon of truffle oil...you can never have too much truffle oil!

Summer Trend: Placid Blue
This spring I'm fully embracing the powder blue trend and even brought out my old H&M powder blue colored jeans. I paired my jeans up with my favorite striped shirt and lobster print scarf for a fun summer Friday office look. To pull the whole look together, I paired it up with neutral toned sandals.
