Paris is so picturisque. It's by far one of the prettiest cities I have ever seen. Between the streets, the Eiffel Tower, and the bridges there is nothing short of wanting to take a picture of EVERYTHING. The husband and I knew that on our trip to Paris that we wanted to do a picnic at the Eiffel Tower. We bought some cheese at a local fromage store on Rue Cler and then bread from a bakery near by. We bought a bottle of bubbly rosè and some meat as well.

TIPS:
- To get some of the best photos of the Eiffel Tower head to the Trocadero (where the staircase photos were taken).
- Rue Cler is a street full of fromage stores and bakeries. We got our cheese from La Fromagerie. The sweet Parisian guy behind the counter was super helpful on giving us suggestions and letting us taste the cheeses. He also knew the perfect amount to cut for us, we just told him enough for the two of us for a picnic.
- If you like truffle you need to get the truffle cheese from La Fromagerie

On our first full day (with an actual night's sleep), we spent the morning at The Louvre and the rest of the day wandering around the city. I spent a lot of days wearing these Zara sneakers as we did nothing but walk. Which honestly was the best way to see the city. We got to find amazing little side streets with beautiful windows, and old stores. Plus, lots of walking + rosè + lots of food = amazing nights sleep.

TIP FOR THE LOURVE:
- Get tickets to the Lourve prior to your trip
- Get there EARLY. We beat the crazy line and the mad rush to see the Mona Lisa.

Inspirational Monday: Home Decor

My husband and I just moved into our new apartment. No really, today was move in day. We've lived in Carroll Gardens for the past 6 years and today we moved into Bay Ridge. It is a bittersweet day. Carroll Gardens had become our home. We made friends in the neighborhood and had found our favorite local hubs. But within the 6 years of living there we've out grown our one bedroom apartment and the neighborhood had outgrown our budget. Bay Ridge is just as homey, if not more neighborhoody, without the sticker shock price tag on apartments. We found ourselves a beautiful two bedroom apartment that had everything we were looking for, a big living room, kitchen with washer/dryer and dishwasher. A huge plus, the deck. This was the apartment we saw ourselves growing into. With a new apartment means new furniture and new decor. I'm all about the grays and whites. As well as the glam boho feel. Once the husband and I have the place decorated and set up I will do a home tour. As for now enjoy my mood board of home ideas.

Shirt: Forever21 | Pants: Madewell | Shoes: Shoemint | Bag: Coach

These pants have become my go to pants when I can't think of anything to wear. I love pairing them up with fun tops like this fringe Forever21. It adds a pop of interest to the overall look. Plus, adding a printed shoe always helps.

Do you have a go to pair of pants?

In 18 days my husband and I will be Paris! It will be both of our first time overseas. I'm so excited to take in the city...the sights, the sounds, the food, the fashion. Since we've booked our trip I have been mentally packing. I even might have bought a dress for the trip *whoops* #sorrynotsorry I've been finding some sources of inspiration from a few of my favorite bloggers and of course Pinterest. We will also be spending a short amount of time in Florence. This the trip that I have been dreaming about for years and I get to do it with the man I love. We even get to spend the husband's 31st bday in Paris! How magical is that?

PS have you been to Paris or Florence? Leave any recommendations!
