1 Blazer 2 Ways, Part 1: Weekday Hustle

UK fashion store, Wallis, recently reached out to me and asked me if I would like to participate their blogger competition. The competition is to style their Blue Jersey Blazer four ways, winner of the competition gets a mini shopping spree at Wallis (and with spring around the corner who can pass that up!). Plus, I love showing how you can transition functional pieces in your wardrobe. What I need from my wonderful readers...I just need your help re-pinning my looks on pinterest! You can find my pins here and here.

Today's post includes 2 looks to get you through the work week. From everyday office wear to the casual Friday look.

Blazer: c/o Wallis
Top: The Gap
Pants: Zara
Shoes: Shoemint
Necklace: Forever21
Bag: Zara (old)

The office can be a boring place full of suits and bad fashion (depending where you work of course!). Jazz up your office wear by breaking the mold and going with a funky pair of pants, like these Zara brocade pants. When doing a bold printed pants in the work place you want to keep everything else simple like a simple t-shirt and a neutral toned shoe. A simple blazer like the Wallis will pull the whole together and have a sophistication to it that will make it look office appropriate  You can have fun with accessories, but remember not to over do it since your pants will make the statement.

Blazer: c/o Wallis
Shirt: Zara
Jeans: c/o Kensie
Shoes: Hush Puppies
Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs
Watch: American Eagle

Nothing says casual Friday like a great pair of jeans. To shake up the usual jean routine try a pair of colored jeans, the darker the better -- especially for an office setting. A printed top will give the look a casual feel, but a pair of loafers and a blazer will give it the office touch. Simple accessories like some arm swag can be the little cherry on top. This look is perfect for after work cocktails on a Friday night.
