Meet the Pillow Boot by Cougar Boots
My friends over at Cougar Boots sent me over a pair of the new Pillow Boots to test out. Can I just say that I'm in total love with them. It seriously was love at first glance, as soon as I saw the style online I knew they were going to be awesome. I have known about this product review since a little before August and have been waiting since for their arrival (they arrived a few days before my bday so it was like a little birthday present). So here I am to share them with you!!
These boots have a masculine look but also have a feminine appeal to it-- thanks to the red lining on the inside. It really does feel like you are stepping into a snug pillow when you put these boots on, hence the name. They are perfect for the winter, thick and warm...and very comfortable. Easy for trekking over mouns of NYC snow or for those bitter cold days. They easily go well with a pair of skinny jeans or tights with a skirt/dress. I like that you can play with the look of the shoes and can really build a whole outfit around the boots. These boots gave me an idea to play with a feminine lumberjack. I took my Urban Outfitters black pleated skirt and turned it into a dress and took a pair of my flirty suspender tights to play with the feminine side. To add to the lumberjack masculine appeal I threw my vintage Ralph Lauren plaid men's shirt over the skirt turned dress. Added feminine accessories like the Target Owl Belt and BCBG clutch to keep the look girly but played it cool with my pair of round Ray-bans.

These bad boys are going to take me through winter and I can not wait to fully rock them. Okay maybe I can since I'm not ready for snow...or full on winter just yet. But the Pillow Boots are a MUST HAVE for anyone who lives in a cold climate region.

Yesterday was day 2 of rain (today makes it day 3!)...minus the bit of humidity that we had you would have thought it was a day in Spring. Either way it was another reason for me to break out my Cougar Tibet Rain Boots (which you can read about here). I love how these boots make anything cool looking and they aren't in your face rain boots....the little sock part really makes the boot. Of course once I got to work I switched out my boots for a pair of pumps that I keep under my desks. I looked more ready to jump on a boat then I did to do work. Either way this is probably one of my favorite outfits that I threw together recently. I think I'm starting to have a thing for stripes!

Sequins? YES. Maxi Skirt? YES PLEASE! Two of my favorite things at the moment all rolled into one? TO DIE FOR! I want this skirt RIGHT NOW. ON ME! PLEASE! This whole outfit is just lovely and goes back to my steal the look for less post from Wednesday with Jayma Mayes and her sequin skirt and button down top (you can read it here). This is so beautiful and so elegant and I love the shirt and the belt for this whole look.
Okay so I got these in the mail last Friday and didn't do my post till Sunday but I still love them. I also didn't really get to wear them till Monday so technically this still fits in. You can read my whole Product Review on these boots here.
3. Jayma May's Sequin Skirt and Button Down Top

This look is totally like J. Crew's Spring 2011. I did a post on how to steal her look for less on Wednesday (which you can read here) after I did this post I noticed that a lot of people are catching on to the sequin casual look. I saw this girl yesterday at the J. Crew Sample Sale on looking fantastic with a sequin mini skirt and a simple button down top. It's really great to see an outfit like this out on the streets on a normal person (someone who isn't a celebratity and doesn't have their own stylist).
4. American Apparel Chiffron Double- Layered Full Length Skirt

Okay so I went to American Apparel this week with the purpose of buying black leggings, which I did indeed end up buying, but I also tried on this skirt....Which now I'm in total love with. Of course it's a maxi skirt which in return means I love it. But I also love the sheerness to it and the elestic waist. I had talked myself OUT of buying this skirt. It's def. going on my Christmas list.
I also want to take this time to thank Alena from C'est Freak, Le Chic. She had hosted a giveway back in the beginning of October which I had TOTALLY forgot I had entered...but I got a lovely email from her yesterday notifying me that I had won her contest!! What a great way to have had ended my Thursday! I won these really beautiful Rose Pendant necklace from an online jewellery boutique, Lottie Blyth.

Product Review: Cougar Shoes
Have you ever heard of Cougar shoes before? If you haven't it's okay neither have I until I had this great opportunity to do this product review for their latest line of rain boots and snow boots!
Cougar shoes is a family owned and run Canadian company. They have been around since 1948! Their boots are made for the harsh winter weather but are still stylish. Even their slogan is stylish "For the world you walk on love what you wear." Also not only do you not have to worry about not looking stylish in these boots but you don't have to worry about your feet being wet and cold. Cougar shoes guarantees waterproof boots!
I was offered this opportunity sometime a couple of weeks ago and have been waiting for my boots to come in ever since. On Friday night I got the awesome surprise that my boots had arrived. It was like Christmas day for me, I ran up my three flights of stairs and teared open the box to find my pair of boots (and hoodie…and mug….and hot chocolate! It's the perfect winter survival kit!)
I'm in total love with both these boots. I wish I would have had these Ringo Star snow boots when I went to Chicago in January, my UGGS did not stand a chance against the Chicago winter weather. There's no doubt in my mind that these boots would have laughed at Chicago's weather. These boots are 100% comfortable and 100% warm. I love how high they are (they come a little below the knee) and I love the fur collar. You can feel the insulation as soon you put these boots on. It's as if they are hugging your feet and legs.
I have never owned rain boots that are low cut. These rain boots might be low cut and are super adorable but they are tough little guys. You can feel how these are defiantly going to keep out any type water. I love the sock collar of these boots, it gives the boot a fun and funky look. Of course my boots came the day after New York got hit with all the rain. I don't think I have ever wished for it rain before like I am now! Sorry to my other fellow New Yorkers.
I made my boyfriend do a little photo shoot tonight down at the park of my new fantastic Cougar shoes!
