Mom Style: Momista
One thing I didn't want to lose when I became a mom was myself and my style. Sure I have to be more mindful of the clothing I wear...aka can I easily nurse in this? Is it easy to clean? Will baby spit up ruin it? With all that in mind I knew it restricted some clothes that I gravitate too, but also has allowed me to tap more of my boho style, like this Lulu's dress. I absolutely love the flow of this dress and the easy access for nursing. I love that it can easily be paired with a bralette. I like the one that I chose from Aerie to keep it a little more modest for a "mom" look. Plus it's convertible strapless bra (easier to nurse with no straps). I actually want this bralette in loca verde and morocaan sunset.

Mom Style: Nursing Friendly Dresses
I'm currently exclusively breastfeeding which means strategically picking out clothes that would work for both me and my baby. With that said I don't want to compromise on my style...Plus it's finally warm out which means cute spring/summer dresses. So I've been trying out different styles that are nursing friendly. Here's a mix of nursing dresses and nursing friendly dresses.
NURSING DRESSES:
I had bought this Hello Miz Maternity dress while still pregnant but never got to wear it while pregnant, but have worn it a couple of times now post. I love that it has the lift up access which makes it easy and quick for nursing. I do however wish I sized up, I don't think my pregnant belly would have even fit into this dress. I bought a small and should have went with a medium. Advice, if you go with this dress size up!
SHOP SIMILAR STYLES: A Pea in the Pod, Destination Maternity, ASOS, Motherhood, Everly Grey
Pinkblush hands down has been my favorite maternity shop. Cute, affordable, and functional...what more could you want from a boutique? I had gotten this dress with the summer in mind, I mean hello Hawaiian print! The cross function of this dress works perfectly for nursing the little one, plus it looks good pregnant and post pregnancy.
SHOP SIMILAR STYLES: Target, Lilac Clothing, Hello Miz Maternity
NURSING FRIENDLY STYLES:
I have spent a lot of time online window shopping while nursing Austin since I was excited about buying some new post pregnancy clothing. Except I had to keep in mind my new mom duties, which includes nursing friendly pieces. So with that in mind I looked for dresses that are button downed, criss crossed front, or looser top.
This Lulu's dress is probably my summer favorite. I love the boho loose feel to it. It's one of those throw on and go dresses. I also love that it looks good with a bralette, which is important as since you know milk leaks.
SHOP SIMILAR STYLES: Forever21, Shein, Shoptiques, Love Stitch
Button down front dresses are also another convenient style for nursing. Allowing easy access to the boobies without any hassle. Luckily, I already had a couple of these style dresses in my wardrobe which included this denim shirt dress from Madewell (similar styles here, here, and here). Shirt dresses are also perfect for going back to work, since another thing to consider if pumping (if you continue to breastfeed).
SHOP MORE SHIRT DRESSES: Madewell, BCBGeneration, Urban Outfitters, Free People
I know it's been awhile but as I adapt to the mom life I'm hoping to update the blog more often as well as bring you more post to help moms and moms to be! Leave me a note with what you would like to see.

Maternity Photoshoot
I really wanted to do a maternity photoshoot and it took us awhile to scour the internet to find a photographer who matched our aesthetic. A lot of maternity photographers are focused on the body, which is beautiful, but I'm just not that type of person. I really wanted photos that not only captured me and my belly, but of my husband and I. We didn't have many photos of us together through this evolution of just us to three. I was so happy when I came across Amy Frances photography's web page...her aesthetic matched our personality and her photos were just so sincere and beautiful.

Dress: c/o PinkBlush | Robe: PinkBlush | Bra and Underwear: Calvin Klein via Urban Outfitters | Top: Urban Outfitters
We pulled the trigger and at week 36 we did our photoshoot. You would think that as a blogger I would feel comfortable in front of a camera...but to be honest I still get pretty camera shy. Especially in front of someone I don't know. As soon as I opened our home to Amy, she felt like a friend. Warm and inviting. She put us at ease by talking to us and asking us just silly questions to make us comfortable and laughing. It was really hard to choose which ones to share here without going crazy as I love all of them. My favorite photos are of Brian and I laughing and smiling. That is our relationship through and through. We have known each other for 14 years, together for 10 years, and married for 3 years. We started out as very close friends in college, and never in my wildest dreams did I ever think we would date let alone end up married and expecting our first. We were friends and our love for one another grew into something beautiful and special. Our relationship has always been one of love and laughter. He is my rock. My soulmate. My best friend.
