Inspirational Monday: The Black Maxi Dress
The black maxi dress is a staple dress that every woman should have in their closet. It's like starting with a blank canvas-- you can really dress it anyway that you want. For work all you need is a pair of heels, blazer, and high heels. For a casual day flip flops and a simple statement accessory. This is also once piece of clothing that can take you from spring to winter. A maxi dress can be layered with sweaters, jackets, and worn with tights and boots.
It's a fully functional piece that I just love and love to have fun with. My newly acquired Valrouge black maxi dress is just what I needed in my wardrobe. A piece that can function during the work week and also can be worn on the weekends. I love maxi dresses because they are so casual and I love keeping mine simple. Even when running out to do some errands I need a little statement necklace to make the look my own. This exactly what I wore on Sunday on our usual Sunday run to the grocery shopping for the week.
