H&M's Fashionstar Event

Tuesday night H&M's flagship store in New York City rolled out the red carpet on 51st and 5th avenue for their star studded event for the show FashionStar. I felt pretty darn special and almost famous walking the red carpet and dropping my name to the PR girls behind their iPads. It's not everyday that I get invited to such events where Nicole Richie is the host and a red carpet out on 5th Ave. I brought my cousin (who is also a fashion blogger: Pins, Needles, Fashion) with me to share this event. Plus we got an extra 25% off of any purchase we made so I needed a shopping partner! Shopping, drinking, mingling, and photo taken we did...maybe even a little bit of "stalking." The drinks were flowing with white wine, prosessco (which we stuck with), beer, and fancy mix drinks. Yummy little treats like the oreo with melted marshmallow were passed around. I somehow only walked out of their with a pair of white jeans that were $10 but then were knocked down to $7 with the discount. Best find I found in a while.

Other then the atmosphere it was also great to meet Nicole Christie (the H&M buyer on FashionStar), meet some of the designers, and to take a look at the clothes that are being sold in store now. It's amazing the talent that is out there right now. Just lurking in the dark hidden corners and it's something amazing to see these talents being brought out in shows like FashionStar.

Nicole Christie was so sweet and she looked absolutely fabulous in her lime green H&M open back dress. She also loved that I was rocking my H&M floral pencil skirt. I mean how could you go to an H&M event and NOT wear H&M. Then again it was pretty easy for me to wear something from H&M since a good portion of my wardrobe is from H&M.

I couldn't be more thrilled and honored to have attended this event. Seriously, since I live in H&M I couldn't have been more honored not only as a blogger but as a costumer to have been there to celebrate with them.

I think I died and went to creme color heaven. This collection is made up of whites, cremes, and light blush tones. Nothing but romance in this collection! I'm absoulety in love with the blush pink bustier. It is so fairy princess like and I can see it being paired with maxi skirts, jeans, and shorts. Also those scallop creme shorts are pretty amazing. I can not wait for this line to come out. I'm so pumped to check it out.
What do you guys think?

Things that I Loved this Week 10/25/10 to 10/29/10

1 & 2. H&M Wedge Shoes and Maxi Skirt

I bought these from my latest trip to H&M. I can't walk into that store without leaving with something. You can view my rant and full outfit on my blog post here.

3. Rumi's Alexander Wang Jumper
Rumi from fashiontoast.com look amazing in her jumper by Alexander Wang. There is something very child like and playful about this jumper. Sure it sort of looks like PJs but it looks so cozy and it really gives me a warm fuzzy feeling on the inside. It reminds me of when I was a kid and my mom would buy me onzies PJs. I HATED the foots of them. My mom would have to cut the footies off for me. Alexander Wang gave the onzie a grown up playful look. Alexander Wang you make my heart melt!

4. Florence and the Machine

I finally downloaded Florence and the Machine's cd! And my god am I in love with it! I can not stop listening to it. Her voice is just pure gold. Her lyrics are perfect. And the beats are so catchy! My favorite songs are of course Dog Days Are Over but I also love Kiss with a Fist and Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up). Plus her flaming red hair is goregous. She has a rocking out of this world sense of style! I'm so sad to have just found out she is playing Terminal 5 here in NYC on Monday and Tuesday and BOTH shows are sold out! I mean awesome for her but sad for me! To late in the game! Hopefully she comes back to NYC soon!
HAPPY FRIDAY!!!
Hope everyone had a great week! And has a great weekend!!! Can't wait to go out tomorrow night for Halloween! Does anyone else have Halloween plans or anything else going on this weekend?
