Style Guide: Velvet Maternity Dress
One thing that I've learned while being pregnant is that I don't have to give up fashionable clothes or even trends for drape maternity clothes. I've been loving the velvet trend this season so I was excited to see that maternity velvet dresses popping up. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to purchase one especially around the holiday season.

I decided to take this pretty dressy velvet dress more casual on a cold NYC day. Paired with booties and a long cardigan for a day to night look. For a more dressy occasion or even a baby shower this dress would look great with a cute pair of pumps or a little pair of flats.

Inspirational Monday: Velvet Crush
I'm so happy that velvet has made a comeback this fall/winter season. And no I'm not talking about the velvet Juicy Couture track suits (somethings should just stay in the 90s). There is nothing like the feeling a smooth velvet. Velvet is perfect for the Holiday seasons. Velvet slip dress for a Holiday date night or velvet pants for a Holiday dinner with the family. I'm currently craving a pair of velvet booties or flats. I'm also happy that during my purge I didn't get rid of my velvet American Apparel leggings. I will be breaking those suckers out for Thanksgiving, especially since it's suppose to be in the 40s...and well leggings and Thanksgiving go hand and hand.
