I had fallen in love with the orange coat when I saw Lela Rose's Spring 2012 show back during NY Fashion week in Sept. I just remember swooning over it as soon as it hit the runway. I just wanted to get my hands on that jacket...well now it's in stores like Bergdorf Goodman but WAY above my price range. Then I saw it-- the perfect orange coat in the Ann Taylor window. I walked by it a couple of times since the store is attached to my work building...then finally I decided to look up how much it was and to my surprise it was only $248. I'm always willing to spend more on something that will last me a long time and will actually use-- ex. a good coat, bag, or shoes. Plus, comparing $248 to $1,695...Ann Taylor coat didn't seem so bad. I knew the coat was meant for me when I walked in there and there were TWO left...one being in my size!
I styled this coat with a boyish flare. Over-sized sweater with a over-sized button down with a feminine basic mini skirt and black pumps. Simple outfit for a very loud coat.
