Mara Hoffman Fall 2013

Mara Hoffman without a doubt is my soul sister. Being in the Stage tent in Lincoln Center and watching her line go down the runway made me forget about the slushy snow that waited outside, which was funny since this was a fall line. Sticking to her own aesthetic and her consumers' appreciations, the Fall 2013 collection was full of beautiful tribal prints, vibrant colors and flowing dresses. This season Hoffman played off the idea of a traveling circus of "Gypsies, Tramps, & Thieves," which can be seen in playful prints like the "evil eye" and the Caravan print (which intertwines elephants and peacocks).

I can't help but love Mara Hoffman and her style. She is a designer set in her ways and her own aesthetic. I loved that she mixed in funky ponchos, tribal print sweaters, and houndstooth printed coats with her beachy dresses and bohemian tops. I appreciate that her collection is always fun and playful, that she doesn't take her clothing to serious. Her collection of course is amongst my favorite that I've seen this season, even if her pieces in a New York winter would have to be worn with layers...lots and lots of layers. I also need to get my hands on the Pamela Love earring/head-wrap pieces. Her jewelry was the cherry on top for this collection.

What do you think of Mara Hoffman's Spring 2013 Collection?
