Today I leave for Chicago for a short weekend trip to visit my best friend/maid-of-honor. The trip came about since I haven't been to Chicago since she first moved out there and it was the dead of winter. Plus it was perfect timing, my fiance is away on business (lucky man is in Hawaii!). It'll also be nice to spend some real quality time with my bff since she's had a rough couple of months. It's going to be a good "girls weekend." Anyway, I thought this would be a fun/different post to do, since I am the queen of over-packing. I never know what to pack, especially this time around. My best friend has the whole weekend planned and I have no idea what we are doing. Its a weekend of surprises. She did tell me to pack sweaters and comfy shoes since we'll be outside most of the time. Even though I been keeping an eye on the weather, I still not sure I packed enough options. Can you ever be over prepared?

Are you an over packer?

  1. I used to be an overpacker, but since I went to college and had to fly from coast to coast a few times a year, I learned how to fit everything into my carry-on and personal item so I wouldn't have to check. I think you've got some great options with what you packed and hope you have a wonderful weekend in Chicago!

  2. looks like you packed perfectly! I used to be an overpacker but now I feel I've gotten much better at it. Sometimes laying out clothes like this is extremely helpful. I also find making lists before hand works for me too.

  4. You do such a good packing job! I'm such a bad packer- I pack everything "just in case" and yet always manage to forget the things I really need (a prescription or tooth brush or contact lenses!)! I've never been to chicago but I might be going sometime in the next six months so I can't wait to hear what you think and any must do suggestions you have!
