Weekend Wear: Leather Pants from Day to Night

Leather is everywhere this season from jackets to shirts to pants. I have to admit I'm all in about the leather pants trend. It's all about finding the right quality for the price you are willing to spend, plus the fit of the pants. It took me awhile to find an affordable "leather" pants, but finally found one that worked best for me from H&M. These pants work for the weekend more then the weekday, unless you work in fashion or somewhere else that you'd can get away with wearing this trend. I ended up wearing these this past Saturday while running around during the day day doing some errands and then switched up my look for my fiance's art opening that night. A simple change of the top, swap of a lipstick, and switching of the shoes can change everything about what the outfit says.

Cardigan: American Eagle | Top: H&M | Pants: H&M | Sneakers: MNGT from LF Store | Scarf: H&M |
Bag:
Marc by Marc Jacobs | Necklaces: Marc by Marc Jacobs & c/o Huggsy.com | Sunglasses: No Names |
 Lipstick:
Stila in Fiore

For the day time look I kept it casual and cozy. Some wedge sneakers not only give the whole look a urban feel but also gives it a little lift. While a cozy cardigan and scarf are a perfect pairing for strolls on a fall day. I did a pink lip for a day look to brighten the whole outfit up a bit.

NIGHT:

Top: H&M (old) | Pants: H&M | Shoes: Zara | Jacket: H&M (super old) | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff
Sunglasses: No Names | Lipstick: c/o BA Star

I swapped out my pink Stila lips for the BA Star Holiday Red lip pencil. This lip pencil works perfect by itself or you can do a little coat over it of your favorite red color. You can even blend in a little bit of plum to pull off a burgundy lip. Red lips are sultry and are perfect for leather pants, but beware of what you are pairing with to where you are going. Since I was going to my fiance's art opening I didn't want to look to va-va-boom, so a little bit of sparkle and booties to keep the look appropriate for a night time function. To finish off the look I paired my favorite H&M coat that I've had forever. Who doesn't love a colorful coat?

Are you willing to try the leather pants trend?

  2. Leather certainly is price-y, but I think the trend is eternal, so it's well worth the price. Fantastic styling - you nailed each one.
