Georgine Ratelband might only be 25 years old, but her designs and talent are well beyond her years. When Georgine first showed at NYFW for Fall '14 (seen here) she showed us her craftsmanship with fur, for Fall '15 she does it again...except with lots of colors. This season Georgine found inspiration from Weimar Cabaret in 1920s and 1930s Berlin. She mixed in the romance of 1960 British fashion from designers like Ossie Clarke and Biba. This collection is full of luxurious fur, fancy cashmere and elegant embroidery.

For the past three seasons we have gotten to know Georgine's woman, and she sure does have the taste for the finer things in life. Her woman has money to spend, but lots of class and sass. I love Georgine's rich sense of style. Georgine, to me, is the Marchesa of the ready-to-wear world. She knows how to make a woman feel luxurious outside of a gown. When Georgine's fur coats walked down the run way you couldn't help but salivate a bit and think "I need one of those." Seriously though, I need one of those. The tails on the coats add a bit of funk and sass to it without making it gimmicky. This collection was styled perfectly with throwback hair and modern style accessories from the sunglasses to the updated fur clutch (which I also need). Georgine is a force to be wreaking with. I have no doubt that lots of woman will be wearing her clothes for Fall '15. Now to start saving money for that fur.

NYFW Spring 2015: Georgine's Cabana Glam

After spending her days in bikinis off the coast of Thailand, designer Georgine Ratelband, delivered a cabana glam inspired Spring 2015 collection on Monday afternoon at Lincoln Center. The collection was inspired by 1970s glam which she used gold, rich cremes, and mints. She wanted a collection that can take a woman from beach to night but in a more luxurious way. These designs were paired with luxury accessories including mink towels and bags. Along with whimsical surfboard clutches in collaboration with Max Steiner Designs.

Georgine has quickly become a designer I look forward to seeing. Her debut collection last season (read here) was one of my favorites and this season is no different. I've always believed I was born on the wrong coast. I think I was made for the beach life and not so much the City. These looks were right up my ally, beach wear with a twist of glam. It was everything a woman who loves the beach and fashion needs. I loved everything from the clothes to the accessories (I need the NO DIVING mink towel...don't know what I would do with it but I need it) to the hair and make-up. The turbans were beautifully done and the make-up was a bronze goddess look. Her inspiration transported me from my seat in Lincoln Center to sitting in my private cabana on the beach being fabulous and drinking tropical drinks. This collection makes me long for my vacation in Hawaii thats coming up in November.

NYFW Fall 2014: Georgine's To Be or Not to Be Moment

Georgine Ratelband debuted her namesake line Georgine under the tents at Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week on a snowy Sunday night in Lincoln Center. Though this is her fourth collection this was her first notable showing of her line...and what a collection to debut! Ratelband's inspiration for the fall season was Shakespare's Hamlet, which couldn't be more fitting for a debut line as it was her "to be or not be" moment. This collection had a darker undertone much like the play itself. The Georgine woman is feminine yet edgy, which is my type of woman.

This was Ratelband's "to be moment" for sure.  As soon as I instagrammed my favorite look I knew it was going to be a hit (see here). I mean every badass chick needs a black fur coat, leather leggings, and cool ass shades. Another one of my favorite looks was the dark brown coat with the pink collar. The pink collar gives it a nice refreshing pop of color for fall, especially in New York when it's a sea of black coats. Her use of fur, leather, and tailored trousers are undeniably luxurious. Oh how I wanted to curl up in one of her fur coats. Honestly wanted to run out in the snow with the pink tipped sleeve fur coat. Even backstage I stood there for awhile just stroking it, thinking to myself "pet the fuzzy wall" (Get Him to the Greek...anyone?). Actually it does have a calming effect...maybe that's why everyone wears fur during fashion week? Anyway, I can  see Georgine's line appealing to woman of all ages from us style blogger who look a little edge to those woman who love classic style pieces i.e. fur coats, black dresses, and fur shawls.

What do you think of Georgine's NYFW debut?
