I'm going to be honest this was actually not the original outfit that I had planned out for Sunday but after being in heels from 9am to 9pm on Saturday I couldn't even think about putting my feet back in a pair. So a statement maker pair of boots it was! Plus, I couldn't wait to wear this Black Swan "fur" jacket that I won from the Lulu*s Style Studio Event. I mean how could you not want to wear this jacket right away! I was eyeing that jacket as I was heading up to spin the wheel and for sure the fashion Gods were def. smiling upon me on Saturday night. My finace on the other hand...not a huge fan of this coat, which I already assumed he wasn't going to be. But I don't care. I freaking adore it!
PS. Was spotted leaving the Tracey Reese show by Marie Claire UK!

NYFW Fall 2014: Mara Hoffman's Northern African Dream
picture taken by me. see more here.
Mara Hoffman is always one of the shows that I look forward to seeing each New York Fashion Week. This season Hoffman did not disappoint. This season Hoffman found inspiration in Northern Africa, specifically in Moroccan Rugs, Egyptian Camels, and Bedouin Jewelry. This inspiration fit perfectly into her aesthetic. The prints were Hoffman's typical tribal prints with vibrant color and a boho vibe. She add in tailored coats and trousers along with beaded looks into her repertoire.

Outfit Post: What I Wore to NYFW Day 4
Jacket: Zara | Sweater: Zara | Skirt: Alice + Olivia | Shoes: Zara | Bag: Alexander Wang | Hat: Free People
photos taken by Brian Cavanaugh
I've been dying to wear my Alice + Olivia full skirt since I bought it at her most recent sample sale. I actually have just been saving this one just for fashion week. I didn't care what the weather was going to be like I was going to make it work! And make it work I did! I ran all over the city on Saturday in this skirt. From Fashion Shows to the Marc Jacobs Pop-up shop to the Lulu*s Event. Everywhere I went I got compliments on it. It's one of my favorite pieces in my closet right now that'll need to be worn a lot more often.
Any pieces in your closet that you are waiting to wear for a special occasion?

NYFW Fall 2014: Breaking the Mold with Emerson by Jackie Fraser-Swan
You know a fashion show is going to be good when it starts with Lorde, which is exactly how Emerson kicked off her Fall 2014 show. Fitting within her asesthic Jackie Fraser-Swan presented a collection of bold beautiful punk meets feminine line of clothing. This season Jackie wanted to really focus on "breaking the mold" and shattering the idea of how woman should dress and act. This collection was full of feminine pieces that were part edgy and part punk.

I love that Jackie is all about the feminine punk rocker. Why can't you love rock music and sequins? Jackie clearly shows that you can be punk rock, love sequins and be sexy all at the same time. I've always been a fan of mixing and matching edgier pieces with feminine frocks. I myself am a rocker at heart but love girly cuts..and of course glitter. So this whole collection was once again up my alley. I adored the "Break the Mold" sweater (yay more text sweaters!!)...and I mean it was hard to deny that the sequin snow suit was pretty freaking awesome. I also loved her super sexy maxi dresses with sheer cutouts. Just a hint to keep them guess!

NYFW Fall 2014: Get Charmed with Erin Fetherston
Erin Fetherston debuted her Fall 2014 collection at the W Hotel in Union Square on Thursday night. Fetherston found inspiration in the legendary Barbizon Hotel, which was part residence, part charm school, and the destination for young women in the pursuit of living the New York City dream. Fetherston's beautiful dresses emulated the stylish ladies that made the Barbizon Hotel their home, including beauties like Grace Kelly, Cybill Shepard, and Edith Bouvier Beale. Sticking to her strong aesthetic, Fertherston created bold and flirty cocktail dresses, skirts, and gowns. These woman not only were sophisticated, but know how to have a good time.

I loved the mod feel of this whole collection. One of my favorite pieces is the Charmed, I'm Sure sweater. It's so quirky, and something maybe a little unexpected from Fetherston. Her tailoring and use of fabrics are undeniable. I just wished that the presentation itself was spread out more so that I could have gotten a better look at some of the dresses that were hiding in the back. I especially adored the pink flower tulle dress that was sitting pretty on a model high up on a ladder. I just could in-vision myself frolicking and twirling around in it. Then there were some dresses that were just made for the holidays like the shimmery emerald off the shoulder dress. Also I will like to point out, I'm already in trend for Fall 2014 make-up. CAT EYES!
