Outfit Post: Chambray, Florals, and a Cobalt Blue Coat

Coat: H&M
Shirt: Target
Skirt: American Apparel
Tights: H&M
Booties: H&M
Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs
Sunglasses: Raybans

I've had this cobalt blue coat for about three years now...I have actually talked about this coat before in this blog (see here for mention) but I decided to finally show you my vibrant coat. This coat can go pretty much easily go with anything. I tend to wear it with darker colors or colors that match. I paired up this coat with the pastels in the American Apparel skirt (which I scored from the warehouse sale) which also went with the chambray shirt from Target. I went for a little twist on the shirt since I'm tired of wearing it either unbuttoned or tucked in so I decided to tie it in the front. Tieing your shirts in the front and making it daytime/work appropriate can be a little tricky but the easiest way to keep it appropriate is to wear high waisted skirts or pants. This skirt has a thick elastic band so I was able to bring the skirt up right above my hips and tie the shirt right where it hits the band. Tieing shirts in the front can be a fun unexpected twist to an outfit.

Do you guys have a favorite winter jacket?

  1. LOve it! I've always wanted a bold winter coat, but I know my style changes to quickly to ever decide on one! My favorite coat is a long, white fitter one with a black fur collar from Alice + Olivia!

  2. love ur blue coat dear

  3. My black leather moto jacket, vintage Harley-Davidson brown leather jacket and Crystallized vintage light brown faux fur coat are my go to for this cold NYC winter.

I love your coat! I love the color. I want a pair of boots that color o.o
