HAPPY FAT TUESDAY! I hope everyone has on their purple, gold, and green today!

To those who don't know what Mardi Gras is it refers to the events of Carnvial season beginning before Lent and ending after Ash Wednesday. Mardi Gras is French for Fat Tuesday, "referring to the practice of the last night of eating richer, fatty foods before the ritual fasting of the Lenten season, which started on Ash Wednesday." (wikipeadia).

I have always wanted to go to New Orleans, the home of the Mardi Gras party and parade here in the states. Yes, it is known for crazy antics such as woman bearing their naked breast for beads but no you don't HAVE to in order to recieve them. Either way it would be such a crazy fantastic time and a world of color, feathers, and beads.

Tonight the boyfriend and I are going to this place called Bourbon Street in the City. It literally looks like the French quarters popped up on 46th Street. We went there last year with one of my friends but this year we are doing dinner and drinks instead of just drinks. Yummy Cajun food here I come!
