Inspirational Monday: Home Decor
My husband and I just moved into our new apartment. No really, today was move in day. We've lived in Carroll Gardens for the past 6 years and today we moved into Bay Ridge. It is a bittersweet day. Carroll Gardens had become our home. We made friends in the neighborhood and had found our favorite local hubs. But within the 6 years of living there we've out grown our one bedroom apartment and the neighborhood had outgrown our budget. Bay Ridge is just as homey, if not more neighborhoody, without the sticker shock price tag on apartments. We found ourselves a beautiful two bedroom apartment that had everything we were looking for, a big living room, kitchen with washer/dryer and dishwasher. A huge plus, the deck. This was the apartment we saw ourselves growing into. With a new apartment means new furniture and new decor. I'm all about the grays and whites. As well as the glam boho feel. Once the husband and I have the place decorated and set up I will do a home tour. As for now enjoy my mood board of home ideas.

Home Decor Inspiration with Fab.com
A couple of weeks ago I had a chance to attend Fab.com's first ever press preview. I've attended a lot of press previews but I must say this was one of the most unique I have ever attended. They hosted the event at someone's actual Greenwich Village apartment! It was really cool to see Fab.com products staged in a actual home. The whole presentation was home decor inspiration overload...and exactly what I needed as my husband and I start to redecorate our own apartment.
How would you redecorate your space?

DIY: Fall Mason Jar Decorations
What You'll Need:
- Fake pine cones or acorns
- Fake fall leaves and flowers
- Mason Jars
All you need to do is line the jars you want with leaves. You don't need glue or modge podge to hold them in place. The leaves will be fine folded into the jar. You can place fake tea light candles in them to hold the leaves in place.
These decorations are not only perfect for making your home feel more like fall but also would be perfect center pieces for your Thanksgiving (or Friendsgiving) dinner.
Would you give making these a try?
